Crushes

Here's my secret. It's about crushes.....I always used to be, and am still, on odd occasions, prone to crushes. Am I the only forty something woman with a long-standing crush on James Bolam? I fancied him like mad when I was a teenager and he played naughty, Jack-the-lad Terry in The Likely Lads....he was so much sexier than prim, would-be-suburban Rodney....and, even now, whenever I see James Bolam on TV, in 'New Tricks' for example, my heart quickens.....it's those sparkling blue eyes, I think, and that gorgeous Geordie accent. I used to fantasise about meeting him. Now I just think I'll put him into a story or a poem. Then I can fantasise that he will read it and love me.....
